Parents today do not understand their children as well as parents did fifty years ago.

Some people say that parents today understand their children better than those of fifty years ago. However, in my opinion, parents now do not understand their children as well as the parents did fifty years ago. This is because these days, children are so busy and the world we live is changing faster and faster.

To begin with, childeren don't have enough time to spend with their parents. To be specific, children are extremely busy with school, private education, and extracurricular activities, and need to spen their free time for studying alone and doing their homework. Since they are occupied most of the time, their parents rarely get to talk with the children. For example, my 7-year-old cousin attends school and various private academies everyday from 7 a.m to 10 p.m. Because of this busy schedule, my aunt and uncle hardly have time with my cousin. When i ask them how their daughter is doing recently, they don't seem to know much about her.

on top of that, the world runs at a faster pace than ever before. People couldn't even imagine cellular phone back then. But nowdays, every single people owns their own smart phone and do what they want at anytime. Sadly, this change makes it harder to understand children. For instance, my sister is holding her cell-phone every moment, chatting with her friends. My mom, of course, can't understand why she's doing it. I'm not sure who's right about this, but it is so clear that my mom does not understand my sister at all.

To sum up, children today are so busy and the world we are living through is changing so fast.

In this regard, I agree with the statement that todya's parents have more trouble with their children than they did back then.
